Club Announcements
The usually good Wellington service was postponed due to a problem in the kitchen and Bob Paddock swung into action and the meeting proceeded. Life goes on--Sorry if anyone leaving early for a meeting was inconvenienced.

Linda Borton said our last opportunity is coming up for reading to kids -- will be 4/28. Contact Linda if you'd like to sign up for this great experience. You can reach her at Northwest Community Hospital, 847-618-5260.

Fine Masters Corner
Gentle Fine Master, Jim Hassenplug, took our money, and we didn't mind!

One of our newest members, Bob, started off with the his Happy Fine for being ... in the club. Our first Co-Happy Fine was paid by Mike Field and Bob Paddock, announcing that over 3,000 people attended the Daily Herald/Dist. 214 Community Ed. band concert Tuesday evening...even in these changing times, folks love great music and read newspapers! Well-deserved, Do-Good happiness was celebrated by Ron Crawford who announced that Bookworm Angels had collected 1000 books for distribution to inner-city youth. Great job, Ron! Harry Vaswani proudly announced the good work of his son as an Eagle Scout offering a seminar on avoiding scams targeted at seniors. The program is offered in conjunction with the Arlington Heights Police Dept. at the Senior Center, 4/19. Harry acknowledged that Rotarians would be welcome even though they may be 'still to young'! Lynn Jensen was happy to be back from a one-week stay in DC with his wife. Ask him if he straightened out those politicians!

Speaking of Washington, Fine Master Jim taxed us with Trivia questions about our President Obama. See how you do - His middle name? Where he was born? His undergrad alma mater? And what were he and his wife doing when they fell in love? Answers are Husain, Hawaii, Columbia College...and he met Michelle when they worked at the same law firm.
