Wendy Davis Recieves September "Rotarian Of The Month" Award

Wendy Davis was recognized by her fellow club members for her many efforts on behalf of the club. She hosted the Club's Annual Steak Fry at her home in September.

She has also been very active as the Chair of the Club's International Service Committee. Recently while on a vacation to Costa Rica, she talked to her fellow women travelers about microcredit projects in general and one in Costa Rica specifically. Before the end of the trip she had collected almost $300 for the local Rotary microcredit project, and also informed 20 American women about the good works that Rotary does around the world.

Wendy will be leaving for a Rotary service trip to the Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire) on November 1st. She wants to take a suitcase full of gently used children's clothing (sizes up to those worn by middle schoolers) to the local Rotarians in Abijan. They will pass the clothes brought by the visiting Rotarians along to an orphanage. Donations are welcome until November 1st . (No clothing with words or slogans, please.)
